Durr systems are major capital investments. Training in how the equipment works provides the means of enabling best working practices to be adopted and plant operators to gain the best return
on their investment.

Product
Amtek consultants established a structured mechanism which allowed Durr engineers and technicians to input their knowledge and expertise into the two elements of the production; a 700 page handbook and two CD-ROMS containing 80 minutes of MPEG video material. The CDs include a comprehensive glossary, linked to the presentation, and a database of key result areas and performance parameters which describe how to set up and run a Durr paint shop. Questions allow users to test their knowledge.

Results
Durr's customers, including all the major vehicle manufacturers, can now access an interactive guide enabling shop floor workers, technicians and line managers to take actions that improve the performance of their paint shop equipment.
